What should I do to start?

Sign a Service Agreement and submit a Security Deposit. You can browse auctions and nearly all Japanese car dealerships inventory free of charge here.

How do I submit the deposit?

Debit, credit, cheque, cash or e-transfer.

Is the deposit refundable if I do not find what I am looking for?

Yes, the deposit is fully refundable at any point before a car for you is purchased.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is $700 CAD + tax ($784 CAD in total). The deposit is what we charge for our services.

I want to import a "insert a car of your choice". What budget is required?

You set your budget, we make sure you stay within it. For your free estimate please email at sales@jdmcarimport.com. Be specific. Requests such as “How much to import a Skyline?” will be ignored.

I want to request the estimate. What should I indicate in my email?

Make, model, year/body type, transmission type, spec and desired mileage of a car of your choice. Other important to you details. For example: “How much do I have to budget for a 2000 R34 Nissan Skyline GT-T, MT-5 with 100-150k km? Requests such as “How much to import a Skyline?” will be ignored.

How long does it take to find a right car for me and receive it?

Normally, 4-6 weeks.

Will I see what I am buying?

Yes, auction links and other links will be provided.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes, we do.

I am from the US. What type of cars can I import?

For driving on regular roads, only cars that are 25 years old or older.

What are the rules in Canada when it comes to importing a car from Japan?

The car has to be 15 years old or older.
