JDM Import · Canada & Japan

Your connection to buying in Japan.

A Canadian point of contact, backed by our sister company in Japan and Japanese staff who can speak directly with the seller.

  • Answers from the seller

Questions about condition, maintenance or equipment, asked in Japanese.

  • A closer look

Additional photos and videos requested for the details that matter to you.

  • A clear purchase process

Review the vehicle, service scope and itemized costs before authorizing a purchase.

Browse freely. Personalized support starts after signing and payment. Seller questions and extra photo/video requests are available only after JDM Import confirms your signed service agreement and receipt of the required initial payment. Additional media depends on the seller.

How importing works From browsing to handover
  1. Browse and plan your budget

Choose a vehicle and review the available import estimate. Listings and estimates do not reserve a vehicle.

  2. Sign the agreement and pay the initial payment

Review your service scope, fees, payment schedule and cancellation terms. Personalized seller enquiries begin after JDM confirms the signed agreement and payment.

  3. Check the details with our support in Japan

Our Japanese staff can ask your questions and request more photos or videos. Existing condition reports can help you assess the vehicle. Any additional inspection must have its availability, scope and fee confirmed before booking.

  4. Approve the vehicle and itemized costs

Review the available condition information, inclusions, exclusions and payment deadlines before authorizing the purchase. Further payments follow your accepted quote and agreement.

  5. Purchase, export and handover

JDM coordinates the services included in your package. Shipping, customs arrangements and the handover point follow your quote; delivery timing depends on the seller, shipping schedule and clearance.

Know what you are paying for

Check your itemized quote for the vehicle price, JDM service fee, Japan-side costs, freight and any included Canadian charges. Costs marked separate or excluded are additional. An import estimate is not a ready-to-register price.

When do I pay, and what if I cancel?

Your first payment is an advance toward the cost of purchasing and importing your vehicle. It is not an additional JDM Import fee and is deducted from the total amount payable under your quote. Once your chosen vehicle has been purchased, you will be required to pay the remaining balance payable to JDM Import. This is typically due within five business days of the purchase, as specified in your accepted quote and service agreement. If either available package has an estimated full landed cost below CAD $16,000, the advance is CAD $2,900. Otherwise, it is 50% of the amount payable to JDM Import for your selected package.

Personalized seller enquiries begin after JDM confirms your signed service agreement and receipt of the advance. Your accepted quote and agreement explain when the remaining balance is due and what happens if you cancel. Please review them before sending payment.

What does an inspection report tell me?

Some vehicles have Carsensor/AIS or Goo-net/JAAA condition information. Where available, we display the recorded details on the vehicle page. A listing summary is not the complete report, and an inspection is not a warranty. Check the inspection date and any recorded defects.
