FAQ

What should I do to start?

Sign a Service Agreement and make the initial payment shown in your accepted quote. You can browse auctions and nearly all Japanese car dealerships inventory free of charge here.

How do I submit the deposit?

Debit, credit, cheque, cash or e-transfer.

Is the deposit refundable if I do not find what I am looking for?

Yes, the deposit is fully refundable at any point before a car for you is purchased.

How much is the deposit?

Your first payment is an advance toward the cost of purchasing and importing your vehicle. It is not an additional JDM Import fee and is deducted from the total amount payable under your quote. Once your chosen vehicle has been purchased, you will be required to pay the remaining balance payable to JDM Import. This is typically due within five business days of the purchase, as specified in your accepted quote and service agreement. If either available package has an estimated full landed cost below CAD $16,000, the advance is CAD $2,900. Otherwise, it is 50% of the amount payable to JDM Import for your selected package. Personalized seller enquiries begin after JDM confirms your signed service agreement and receipt of the advance. Your accepted quote and agreement explain when the remaining balance is due and what happens if you cancel. Please review them before sending payment. The service fee is itemized separately in your estimate.
